FAQs

  • The two things we like to recommend to our customers are to have a budget in mind to work with and to expect a few weeks for production and shipping. While it typically takes 2-3 weeks for production, sometimes fabrics have to be special ordered which does delay the process a bit, but we keep you updated every step of the way!

  • Since each blind is hand-made to custom measurements, we typically ask for a 2-3 week grace period from the estimate to the time of installation. Time often varies depending on the style of blind and size of the order, but we have had consistency in the 2-3 week range, with longer shipping times during the holiday season.

  • We do not typically charge any extra fees. The estimate you get is what you pay, there are no hidden fees or restrictions. If there is a situation where we would have to charge a fee, we would be transparent and discuss that with the client, however, it is very rare that does occur.

  • We typically ask to have paint done in the home before we give an estimate, that way we can base color and style on the near-completed home. This helps us give you the most accurate estimate and allows us to plan our installation with a more accurate timeline.

  • Yes. It is proven that having window treatments can help keep your home cooler in the summer and help reduce the amount of air conditioning needed to cool your home. They provide an extra layer between your home and the sun, trapping heat from entering your home via direct sunlight while providing privacy.

  • You can either keep your old blinds or if you would like we can remove and dispose of them for you free of charge. Must purchase blinds to take advantage of this service.

  • A blackout shade is a style of shade that is made of a thicker material and has the ability to block out nearly all of the sunlight. We recommend these for bedrooms.

  • Yes. We require a $500 or 15% deposit (Greater of the two) before we confirm the production of your blinds. This deposit is non-refundable.

  • Shades are typically fabric and provide a smooth or flat look to your window. Blinds are traditional slants (typically wood) attached by multiple cords and strings in between. They are usually raised or lowered by pulling on a cord. The words are used interchangeably frequently, despite their differences.

I Ordered Blinds, Now What?

  • Blinds take about 2-4 weeks to arrive from the order date. Once we receive the blinds, we reach out and schedule an appointment to get them installed. Typically installs range from 30-90 minutes depending on how many blinds were ordered. We like to plan for about 7 blinds per half hour.

  • Yes! Our blinds come with a standard 2 years manufacturer warranty on normal wear and tear. If your chain breaks, the fabric rolls up incorrectly, or something doesn’t feel right, just let us know and we will schedule a time to come and evaluate the situation. Unfortunately, we do not cover carelessness or non-standard operation in the warranty.

In addition to the two year warranty, most of our fabrics come with a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty, starting from the date of manufacture.

  • Yes! We offer a $100 referral bonus as a token of our appreciation for your support. If you recommend us to someone and they purchase 4 or more of our blinds, we will offer you a $100!

  • Payment is preferred in either cash or check and is due no later than the date of installation. After your order is confirmed, you will be sent a DocuSign containing your total balance due, the windows being furnished, and fabric selection.
